Dreyer’s Vanilla Toasted Almond Ice Cream

Where was ice cream invented? Italy, home of the gelato? No. In fact, it was Marco-Polo who was thought to have brought ice cream back to Italy. From? China. Yes, ice cream was invented in China during the Shang Dynasty around 618-97 AD.

I found out this Dreyer’s brand ice cream when a friend brought it over during a pot luck. After some trial and error, I found that the best flavour is this toasted almond. The ice cream is creamy. There’s a slighy taste of vanilla. Then there are nice bits of toasted almond scattered around that cuts through the creamy ice cream.

It’s not the best ice cream, but it’s one of the best value for money ones.

Product of USA. Bought in Fairprice, Singapore.
