Harney & Sons Japanese Sencha

Japanese sencha is different from matcha in that sencha uses the whole tea leaves to brew the tea, whereas matcha uses powdered tea leaves that becomes part of the tea itself. The packaging of this Harney & Sons sencha looks pretty nice. The tea bag is not the usual tea bags but it is more silky bordering plastic-like. Hopefully the tea is nice.

The taste is very light and subtle. There’s a slight taste of tea, but a bit too light for my liking. I still prefer matcha that has a much stronger and grassier taste.

I received this from a friend. No idea where it was bought from.
