Hoegaarden Witbier / White Beer

I first tasted Hoegaarden many years ago in Europe when someone introduced me to it. It was a niche or craft beer, way before craft beer was popular. Even white beer or ale was not as popular. It was completely a lager era. I was glad that I tried.

The beer looks murky when poured. The taste is light and slightly citrusy. It’s easy to drink, even on a hot day. Of course, you’ll need to drink it from the signature hexagonal Hoegaarden glass. Apparently, the glass improves the taste of the beer.

Unfortunately, I don’t have one of those glasses. So it’s just straight from the bottle for me.

Brewed in Hoegaarden, Belgium. Bought from Singapore.
